Weekend Highlights
Wow! What a weekend!
I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around everything that happened this weekend! I met a lot of amazing people (both bloggers and non-bloggers), ate oodles of amazing food, took a selfie with BART YASSO, got to see the making of the December issue of Runner’s World, and did a whole lot of running! I think I’m still in shock.
I want to do this weekend justice so I’ll make sure to recap everything that happened over the next couple of days in a bit more detail but for now I’ll stick to some highlights.
The Amazing Shake-out Run Team – me, Erika, Katie, Ali and our Altra friend! 😀Bethlehem Steel Stacks – these were the background of the entire weekend!
The shoes I was drooling over ALLLLL weekend. Soooo sad that they don’t come out until April!
The kid’s 1/4 mile race… the cutest event of the entire weekend!!!
We love the steel stacks! (with Sarah & Ali)
Lunch straight out of the Runner’s World cookbook – I can’t wait to make that chili and corn bread!!!!
Listening to Bart’s seminar – this picture is from when he ran the Mt. Everest Marathon. He said that it took 12 days to walk to the starting line… I will never complain again!
Bloggers keeping warm between the 5K and 10K – me, Sarah, Doug, Matt, Kristen, Beth, Presley, Katie, Katie, Ali and Dani!
SELFIE WITH BART!!!! He is honestly the funniest person I’ve ever met!
And of course I have to tell you about the main reason that we were there….
The Races!!
Miles Run: 22.4 (5K, 10K, and half-marathon)
5K – 18:37 (1st place)
10K – 41:26 (5th place)
Half Marathon – 1:27:13 (7th place, 1st age group)
… and now all I want to do is take a nap! 😉
Have you ever run more than run race in a day?
How was your weekend???
