Training Summary: 4/27/2015-5/3/2015
This week of training was pretty low key until this morning.
I signed up for the OC Half Marathon back before the whole hip business and I was planning on skipping it until Friday. Henri found out he had to work today so instead of sitting on my bum alone at home all day I decided to wake up at 3:45, drive to Costa Mesa, and run 13.1 miles. That sounds like a fun Sunday morning, right??
RIGHT!
I’ll do a full recap of the half sometime this week but for now here’s how this week’s training went!
Training Summary: 4/27/2015-5/3/2015
Monday – 6 miles @ 7:24 pace + PT exercises
Tuesday – 6 miles @ 7:18 pace + core & PT exercises
Wednesday – 7 miles @ 7:27 pace + PT exercises
Thursday – 5.5 miles @ 7:19 pace + core & PT exercises
Friday – 7 miles @ 7:18 pace + PT exercises
Saturday – 2 miles w/ Finn @ 7:56 pace + 4x 50m strides + core & PT exercises
Sunday – OC Half Marathon – 5 minutes easy jogging warm-up, skips & strides + half marathon race in 1:21:20 (unofficial – time on my watch)
Total: 46.6 miles (<- slowly but surely getting back to normal!!!!!!)
