Training Summary: 1/15-21/2018
Hi friends – happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was wonderful and busy and now I’m starting off the week absolutely tired! haha, but it was worth it! We took Liv to the San Diego Zoo on Saturday and are really excited that she loved it because we got an annual pass for Christmas so we’ll be back many more times this year. π
I’m a day late on sharing my training summary from the past week but it was a a great week of training. I’m loving getting back into workouts again and the “shorter” long runs are great (compared to 20/22 miles 14 felt like a breeze). I’m also doing a lot better so far this training cycle with doing core, mini-band exercises and getting into the gym for some strength sessions. These ancillary workouts are going to be imperative for racing the shorter distances that I have on the schedule this spring. π

Also – I want to give a quick shout out for a great cause that Rabbit is supporting right now. Their headquartered up in Santa Barbara and their surrounding area was hit really hard by the Thomas Fire and Montecito mudslides recently, as you’ve probably heard. 100% of the proceeds from their California Strong shirts will be going towards the relief efforts for those 2 natural disasters. I highly encourage you to go check out their site and considering purchasing a shirt. π
