Ready to Race
Yesterday started bright dark and early with a long run in Boston. I met up with a new running buddy/fellow Oiselle flock member and we ran 13 miles along the Charles. I don’t spend nearly enough time in this city!
Breakfast was some oatmeal with a side of pumpkin bread. The best part of living with sisters is having baked goods around all.the.time! After a full day of work I rushed home, packed for our one night race-cation, and cooked dinner. Spaghetti, homemade tomato sauce, broccoli and a slice of whole wheat toast = carbo-loading at it’s finest! One the kids in our neighborhood walks Finn and Laci for us everyday after school and agreed to take them overnight so we could drive down to the Cape last night. I think Finn and Laci could tell that they got to spend more time with their favorite dog walker because they were PSYCHED on the walk to his house!!The drive down it the cape was Beautiful! All the leaves are changing along the highway and Henri and I just kept saying “look at that one!!” and “that tree is so red/orange/yellow!” I think he’s enjoying his first New England fall!
We got to the hotel around 7ish, checked in, picked up my bib and relaxed the rest of the night. Stupid me forgot my foam roller but Henri was the sweetest husband and massaged my calves out for me instead! You know it’s race day when your alarms are set so early!
I’m ready to race this morning!! Let’s go!!
if you’re at ZOOMA Cape Cod today we should catch up! Instagram/tweet me!!!
