Massachusetts Baby Shower

Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start! Since we last chatted I flew home to MA for some quality family time.

I’ve been here for a week and have one more to go. It’s been so nice to slow down, spend time with my mom, dad and sisters and just relax. After end of the semester and track season craziness this time is a much welcome break!

Yesterday my mom and good family friend threw me a baby shower so I could celebrate Lavinia’s impending arrival with my family and friends here.

There were some fun games like “The Jelly Bean Guessing Game”…

…and “Name That Baby Food”. They were really nice and picked flavors that actually weren’t awful. I’ve played this game before and they threw in Turkey Dinner flavor – eww! haha

The food was super tasty – I had spinach and feta quiche, Caesar salad and a chicken salad sandwich. Chicken salad is something that I’ve been craving the past few weeks but have been way to lazy to make it myself so that particularly really hit the spot!

Also – how adorable are these tulip centerpieces?? I loved them so much and can’t believe that they made them themselves!

Dessert was extra special because my friend from Bible study the year we lived in MA made all the yummy treats! [You can see details about her bakery here]. There were 3 different cupcakes to choose from for dessert but I went straight for the lemon! Yum!

And she made these adorable elephant cookies as favors for each of our guests to take home. Adorbs!

I am so thankful for all the sweet friends and family that came and showered me and Lavinia with love (and baby clothes…. soooooo many adorable baby clothes).

So excited for both of these gals’ weddings coming up this summer!
