Hello from PA & Killer Arm Workout

Well hello there!

This morning I’m comin’ attcha from beautiful Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I feel like I am going a little bit crazy with all of the traveling I’ve been doing this past week but it sure is a heck of a lot more fun that going to my desk job! šŸ˜‰

Yesterday morning I woke up bright and early to get in a quick shake out run and some strides. My legs are still feeling tired after Chicago so I’m a mix of nervous/excited for the running ahead this weekend. 

Luckily, a few weeks ago Katie from MsFit Runner and I connected via e-mail and decided to carpool so I only had an hour and a half of solo driving before meeting up at Katie’s house and hopping in her car for the rest of the ride! She is really nice, wicked fast (seriously, girl just dropped a 2:41 at the Hartford Marathon on Sunday – aka SHE QUALIFIED FOR THE OLYMPIC TRIALS MARATHON!!!!) and I had a BLAST getting to know her on the drive. I hope to be as fast as her one day!


And how and I going to get faster??? By strength training! Ever since Henri started running I’ve been using his running time in the evenings to squeeze in some strength training 2-3 times a week. It’s been awesome and I’m definitely starting to feel stronger (<– stronger = faster!!!).

The other day he went out for a quick 3 miles and so I did this killer 15 minute arm workout and my arms were basically jelly by the end! Killer Arm WorkoutNot gonna lie, the last 2 reps my push-ups were on my knees because just couldn’t handle “normal” push-ups. Do what works for you and modify anything you need to as you get more tired!!
