iFit Fitness Band Review
As part of my ambassadorship for the Runner’s World Half & Festival next weekend (there’s still time to register using my discount codes in the sidebar) I was sent an iFit Fitness Band to try out and review. I’ve been wearing mine for two weeks now and can officially say that I love it!
Now let’s get into the deets! 😀
Things I LOVE (ie. pros)
- The display screen – I’ve used a FitBit before and it was so annoying to have to pull up the App on my phone to see how many steps I was at. With the iFit you can simply press the bottom button and viola! you can see your steps, distance, calories in, calories out or net calories.
- Along the same lines as #1, if you click on the top button it shows the time. I love that they incorporated a watch into the band!!!
- The different options on how to wear it! I wear it as a bracelet on my wrist which is usually easiest for me but there were a few days that I got a little more “dressed up” and wore it as the belt clip on so that I could wear jewelry, I thought that was pretty cool.
- You can calibrate your stride distance (for walking and running) which makes the distance much more accurate!
- The stats are easy to read and really extensive.
- The battery life is realllllllllllly long. I think I’ve charged it twice in the past two weeks and it wasn’t dead yet either of the times I did charge it.
- It is really easy to put it into/take out of sleep mode. Just a few clicks and you are all set to go. The sleep tracking is probably my favorite thing about the iFit band just because it helps ensure that I get as much sleep as possible!
- It vibrates when you reach your goal for the day, and you can adjust your goal to be whatever you want!
- I don’t have experience with this because I don’t have an iFit enabled fitness machine, but if you do the iFit band works with your treadmill/elliptical/bike and can do some pretty cool things.
Things I didn’t LOVE (ie. cons)
- The band is kinda big for my little baby wrist. I usually wear my Garmin every day and wearing both the Garmin and the iFit is kinda bulky.
- Nope… there’s no number 2. I can’t even think of any other negatives!
If you’re thinking about getting a “pedometer band” I highly recommend the iFit Active Band. It is pretty darn great!
Have you ever used a pedometer band?
What is one of your favorite fitness gadgets?
Do you track your sleep??
