Happy Memorial Day & Training Summary: 5/18/2015-5/24/2015
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend and taking some time to remember and reflect on what this holiday is all about. I’m just recovering from this morning’s 5K – drinking a latte and hanging out with my new best friends the Bravermans (Parenthood).

Training Summary: 5/18/2015-5/24/2015
Monday: 8.44 miles easy @ 7:29 pace (including 6x 100m strides) + post run power exercises #2
Tuesday: 8 miles easy @ 7:32 pace + 30 minutes weights (upper body & core)
Wednesday: 8.57 mile hill workout [2 mile warm-up, 8x 400m hill repeats @ 89, 90, 88, 91, 86, 85, 87, 87 (w/ jogging down recovery), 2 mile cool-down] 7:13 average pace
Thursday: 6.03 miles easy + 5x strides + 30 minutes weights (upper body, lower body + core)
Friday: 12 mile long run around San Diego
Saturday: rest day – Had a girls’ day at Glen Ivy Spa with my MIL and SIL for my MIL’s birthday! 🙂
Sunday: 7.12 mile pre-race workout [2 mile warm-up, 8x alternating 30 seconds @ goal race pace/2 minutes easy, 2 mile cool-down] 7:16 average pace
