A Very Eventful Father’s Day
Morning!
I hope you all had a great weekend and a wonderful Father’s Day celebrating the men in your life. Mine was eventful to say the least! After a crazy, monsoon of a race in the morning my mom and I headed home to meet up with the rest of the gang. We ate a quick lunch made our way to the Concord Museum to check out a special baseball exhibit that they have going on for the summer. On the way over our girl car got rear ended while we were sitting in traffic… everyone (and the car) is a-okay BUT it’s moments like that that make you extra thankful to have your dad around!
The exhibit had some pretty cool things but my faves were this statue (doesn’t he look like a character from Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs???)…
… and the three World Series rings from when the Red Sox won in 2004, 2007 and 2013!
Later on in the day my grandparents and cousins came over. The sun eventually came out so we hung out on the porch and opened some Father’s Day cards/gifts.
For dinner we grilled up some veggies, chicken, steak and pineapple and put together a tasty spread with coleslaw, potato salad and brown rice. I LOVE summer cooking!
As per usual on holidays we finished off the night with a bunch of homemade desserts. I’m not much of a pie person but this mixed berry pie (in the back under the ice cream) was out of this world. I’ll have to get the recipe from my sister and share soon!
Overall, we had a fun day celebrating the dad that’s always there for us! Love you dad!
What was the best part of your weekend?
Tell me one reason you love your dad!
If you raced this weekend -> how’d it go?? how was the weather??
