A Little Scare & Scenes From the Week
Lavinia and I had a little scare this week… I was out for a slow, easy trail run with my friend and a few minutes after we had turned around to head home I caught my toe on a root and totally face-planted in the dirt.
Luckily, I rotated enough on the way down that I landed mostly on my left side [and my face]. After a trip to the ER – complete with an ultrasound and 30 minutes of fetal monitoring I was assured that Lavinia was safe and sound and healthy. And Lavinia must know daddy and I were worried because she’s been kicking up even more of a storm than usual to assure us that she’s okay.
So I’ll take this opportunity to say to all the pregnant mamas out there to be careful out there while you’re running!
And some fun scenes from this week!
Walks with Gracie require a mid-walk rest in the shade.

Any weather is ice cream weather in our family – even 55 and rainy.

Tried sweetgreen for the first time… their Rad Thai salad is sooooo good!
