Since We Last Talked…
Man… sometimes life just takes it out of you, know what I mean? So much has happened in the last two weeks since I wrote here that the only I can gather all my thoughts together is in a list.
Since we last talked…
I haven’t run a single step. A reoccurring injury from my steeplechase days has reared it’s ugly head so I’ve been stuck on the bike and in the pool for the past week. Basically, I had a pretty bad hurdle accident back in the day and jammed my leg which threw my hip alignment like crazy – think one hip bone 2-3 inches higher than the other kinda crazy. Once you’ve done this to your hips once it’s more likely to happen again and that’s exactly what I’m dealing with right now. Back then I didn’t get things taken care of properly and things turned into a femoral stress fracture so this time I’m being overly cautious. When I start to get bummed about the whole situation I just remind myself that nothing is seriously wrong, it’s just going to take a little bit of work to get things back where they belong!
For now I’m just trying to enjoy my time reading on the bike…

Henri and I gave notice at our jobs! Yep, we are taking a big risk and heading back to California – this month!! Yikes! Henri will be going back into film and I’m starting graduate school in May to get my Masters in Kinesiology. Lots of changes and the craziness of moving cross country again are about to hit us but we couldn’t be more happy – and just for the record… this was in the works longgg before the winter weather kicked in BUT I would be lying if I said I was going to miss the snow. 😉 haha

My family lost a grandfather. I don’t think I’ll ever go into much detail about this on the blog because it is so personal and I’m still having a really hard time but I did want to share a little bit of how wonderful my grandpa was.
He was a brilliant doctor that not only knew the medicine but was very caring and compassionate towards his patients. He was the one of the most joyful and funny people that I’ve ever known and his smile and laughter were contagious. We were lucky to get to spend this past weekend with him and right up until the end he was cracking jokes and making us all laugh. I was so blessed to have 24 years to love him and learn from him and will truly miss him every day! Love you grandpa!
With everything going on I’ve been slacking on blog reading recently… sooooo catch me up on your life! I’ve missed you!
