My Favorite Fruit Smoothie
I had a few people ask me what was in the smoothie from my Day in the Life post last week. And since my Monday just consisted of an easy run and lots of school work I thought I’d pop in today with the recipe!
We’ve had a gloomy May and June so far but every once in a while the sun will come out and it will get crazy hot! On days like this I’ve been putting together this smoothie to keep me cool (usually for the long drive to class).
It’s my favorite because it has a little bit of everything, and is really easy to throw together in my NutriBullet.
Maybe I should experiment more with my smoothie concoctions but I’m a creature of habit… and this habit is going to be hard to break!
Go ahead, grab a straw and join me!
Let’s drink to summertime, warm weather and sunshine! 🙂
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 banana, chopped and frozen
- 8 strawberries, frozen
- 1/2 cup mixed berries, frozen (blackberries, raspberries & blueberries)
- 1 TBSP peanut butter, smooth
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 TBSP oatmeal
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- dash of cinnamon
- Put all ingredients in a blender or NutriBullet and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!!
- (yes, it's that easy!)
Who has fun plans this week?? I’m SWAMPED with a final project and paper for my class that ends this week (it was a 5 week intensive) so I need to live vicariously through you people! 😉
